i was a chauffer for a man that owned 8 hotels around the country.he owned a Z31 that i got to drive on occasion.the 31 was sweet!back in those days,i used to build groundpounders and 4x4s(i was a GM man) streetrace and mudbog. one day,my boss bought a red 1990 TT.i thought that it was odd looking.but you younger guys have to understand, back when the Z32 came out, there wasnt many sportscars that i saw on the streets(in the South).of course, there was the Conquest and the Celica Supra, and the occasional 911(that looked like a souped up beetle)...but back in 89-90,there wasnt anything that looked like the Z32.in fact, most cars had the aerodynamics of a brick(compare the C4 Vette to the Z32)so,it was an oddity.however, one day,the boss comes running telling me that he needs to catch a plane and he wanted me to drive him to the airport ASAP.instead of running to the Towncar,we went to the Z.and i got to drive it.it was the first car that ive ever driven that would run 150 happily(we made it to the airport in record time...12 miles in 7 minutes). the boss let me keep the car for the weekend.and i was hooked.
